FIREFIGHTER STAIRCLIMB FACEBOOK CONCERTS

How do you top a fundraiser featuring 600 Firefighters from all corners of the world, gathering to climb 1,204 steps to raise money for Wellspring Calgary? How about a top-notch virtual music event featuring several of Calgary’s finest and most generous musicians!

The 2020 Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge has been postponed and is currently being re-imagined as a virtual Stairclimb, but in the meantime, an amazing group of Calgary musicians and artists have stepped up to fill the fundraising gap.

Everyone loves music, and we all want to support people living with cancer! The solution , two Facebook concerts on Thursday, May 21 and Monday, May 25 featuring local musicians who dedicated their time and talent to help raise funds for Wellspring Calgary. These fine musicians and entertainers stepped up and offered their spectacular gifts of music!

ColossoVision is proud to have been a part of this special event! In previous years ColossoVision provided video screens, live video coverage and webcast of the stairclimb.

Our team received a lovely email from Karen O'how, Events Manager, and I'd like to share this with you!

The move to virtual and online events and fundraising initiatives spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic has not been without it’s challenges. Shifting perspective and thought process does not come easily and finding people with the vision and experience to support these new ideas can be even more difficult.

I was fortunate enough to find a group of people who could see my vision of an online concert and were able to bring the concept to reality. ColossoVision was able to take our vision, package it, create an integrated concert with music, messaging and video, and stream it on FaceBook. Not only did we create an online concert to raise funds, the result was a heartfelt, uplifting concert that streamed flawlessly. We have had nothing but positive response from these FaceBook concerts. Managing through this new online world is a challenge but if you want professional, and flawless results, I highly recommend ColossoVision to provide their technical expertise and guaranteed successful results."

My gratitude goes to everyone on the Wellspring team, Firefighters, Musicians, and technical team. Please visit the Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge to Donate
