ICCM Concert Series

The Recipe for a successful outdoor safe distancing concert - a dash of Rock Tribute, a shake of Old Time Rock 'n' Roll, pinch of Country Night, and a generous measure of Italian night. Two weekends of spectacular entertainment with equally exceptional summer evening weather. A perfect combination for outdoor concerts.

The driving force for the Concert Series is the Italian Cultural Centre of Milton (ICCM), a long standing not for profit and supporter of the community of Milton. "As we navigate through this uncharted territory, charities and organizations such as ROCK (Reach Out Centre for Kids), Pak A Bag, Halton Woman’s Place, Townsend Smith Hospice Foundation, Milton District Hospital, and our own ICCM, have all been met with extreme challenges. " as mentioned by the committee.

To help solve some of these challenges, the ICCM organized its first Summer Drive-In Concert Series, situated on sixteen acres on the breathtaking Niagara Escarpment.

Here is another example of an event produced with the collaboration and team effort of the Ontario Health Services , Municipality, Region and Province. Volunteers and support from businesses within Milton and region were instrumental on delivering this Concert Series. It was definitely a pleasure to work with, and develop new friendships with Rosanna Conteduca. Alessia Cohle, and Leo Gray. They along with the volunteers and sponsors were amazing to work with.

ColossoVision came on board as a sponsor and supplier for screens, video production and FM Radio transmission as a way of delivering the performances to the many people watching from their cars in the audience. ColossoVision's lead technician, Sean Spicer, who has extensive experience in Sound made the following observation. Normally, the sound engineer will sit at front of house doing the mix of the show. This allows him to hear the sound coming from the main speakers. Here's where it gets fun! There are no speakers other than stage monitors. Watching the engineer mix from within his vehicle was quite a different experience. The main sound was sent by an FM radio transmission, therefore the sound engineer mixed from within his car. Flexibility during this crisis or pandemic is a must! Leo Gray did a fabulous job with Sound. Techs rule!!

Just when I thought I was finished the blog I am adding more as a result of a beautiful email that came in from Rosanna. Thank you Rosanna for the kind words!

On Behalf of the Board of Directors for the Italian Cultural Centre of Milton, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to ColossoVision for being a part of the first Drive in Concert in Halton. Without the assistance of our skilled and talented partners, we would not have been able to do what we did.

The LED Screen was spectacular – the quality and clarity of the images was beyond our expectation. The professionalism and customer service of all staff throughout the planning and day of event was appreciated. In particular during these unprecedented times, with so many more restrictions, it was wonderful to work with professionals who were able to adapt to changes as they arose with such calmness and ease—a true testament to their experience.

We are thrilled to have worked with ColossoVision and would not hesitate in recommending their services for other events.

Sincerely,

Rosanna Conteduca

President, ICCM
